New Chameleon Chat: A Conversation with Kate McCann.
In this heartfelt and eye-opening episode of Chameleon Chat, I’m joined by Kate McCann—a Korean, transracial, international adoptee and biological mother. Adopted into a white American family in 1987, Kate shares how the trauma of relinquishment and adoption has touched every corner of her life, from identity and belonging to pregnancy and parenting. Kate speaks candidly about the intersection of being both an adoptee and a biological mom, offering a rare dual perspective that challenges common narratives around adoption. Her hope is to advocate for adoptees, biological parents, and struggling families by spreading deeper understanding and shedding light on the lifelong impact of relinquishment. Whether you're part of the adoption constellation or simply ready to hear a truth that often goes unspoken, this conversation will move you, inform you, and invite you to see adoption through a more compassionate and informed lens.
We discussed statistics about suicide with adoptees and birth mothers. Here is the study, A Preliminary Exploration into Adoption Reunions: https:https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61555968231690

Moses Farrow, LMFT is a trauma therapist, educator and activist. He works primarily with the victims of the global child supply market run by the human trafficking industry. He leads a mission-driven life that has helped him turn his own pain into purpose. As a toddler, he was taken from his homeland of South Korea and was brought up in the U.S. Along with the 20+ years in the mental health field, he raises awareness as a survivor of child abuse and suicide loss. In 2018, he wrote a tell-all blog article aimed to set the record straight about the childhood abuse, trauma, and losses of Tam, Lark, and Thaddeus while under the care of actress, Mia Farrow. For the last ten years, Moses has started numerous initiatives and projects with a focus on child abuse prevention, anti-racism, suicide awareness, disability pride, and human trafficking. Currently, he started the Society For Adoption Truth in 2024 with a mission to expose and stop the crimes of taking, trafficking, and murdering children in the global child supply market.
