Hello! I’m Lorah Gerald, a same-race, domestic Baby Scoop Era pre-Roe adoptee. You may know me as The Adopted Chameleon on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Pinterest. I began sharing my journey after reuniting with my biological family—a deeply emotional experience that unearthed feelings I had long suppressed. Writing and creativity became my therapy, and through my pages, I connected with others navigating adoption trauma. Over time, I’ve dedicated myself to educating and supporting others in their healing journeys.
To better understand and manage my own trauma, I became a certified Kundalini Yoga Instructor, Trauma-Informed Yoga Therapist, and Reiki Master. With my background in trauma healing, yoga therapy, and energy work, I now teach embodiment classes at summits, retreats, and locally in the Tulsa area, as well as weekly online classes and a Patreon community. I’ve also developed workshops designed to help others explore deeper healing and self-support. These practices have allowed me to process my own trauma and guide others toward becoming the best versions of themselves.
My wellness journey began during my seven years as a Marketing Team Leader at Whole Foods Market, where I rediscovered the transformative power of whole, unprocessed foods. Growing up, my adoptive family and I cultivated our own food, reinforcing my deep belief in nourishment as a foundation for physical and mental well-being.
Beyond nutrition, I’ve always had a strong intuitive sense—an ability to see, feel, and hear things others may not. After reconnecting with my biological siblings, I learned that intuition runs deep on both sides of my genetic family, as well as with my adoptive mother. Embracing both my innate abilities and formal training, I now use these tools to help others navigate their own paths to healing.
I believe that when we heal ourselves, we heal the world. My mission is to share the knowledge, tools, and practices that have supported me—so that you, too, can awaken your own healing power and step into the power of being YOU!
